Youth Charged After Making Threats To Banting Memorial High School

On Tuesday April 3, 2018 during the early morning hours, the Nottawasaga OPP Detachment received indication of threats towards Banting Memorial High School in Alliston.

Police worked closely with Banting Memorial High School throughout the investigation and arrested and charged the youth involved in making the threats.

The Nottawasaga OPP take all public safety threats seriously and provide resources necessary to assess and respond to such threats.  The Nottawasaga OPP will continue to work closely with the elementary and secondary schools in the New Tecumseth, Essa and Adjala-Tosorontio Townships.

Anyone who believes there is a threat to school safety should call 911 immediately.
