York Region police are still working to identify a Vaughan bank robber sporting a Gorilla mask.

On June 15th, 2018,  police were called to a bank at Bathurst and Steeles, for an armed robbery at about 1:10p in the afternoon.

Police say a male suspect entered the bank wearing a gorilla mask and brandishing a handgun.

He obtained a quantity of cash and exited the bank on foot.

No one was hurt, but police say they’ve exhausted all leads and have released images hoping anyone with information will give them a call

  • Male
  • 5’10”
  • Thin build
  • Wearing dark pants, dark long-sleeved shirt with hood pulled up and a gorilla mask over his face

Investigators from the Hold-Up Unit remind business owners of the importance of maintaining and updating video surveillance equipment. Quality images help to identify suspects, can aid in arrests and have a tremendous impact during court proceedings.
