Where is the best place to live in York Region?
According to MoneySense magazine, it’s King Township.
The magazine, also says it’s the 18th best place to live in Canada, knocking off last year’s winner, Aurora which now ranks 36th just one place behind Markham.
MoneySense says The average household income in King averaged $191,000, while the approximate value of real estate was close to $1.5 million.
Newmarket came in at 23rd , up from 56 last year, Richmond Hill ranks 37th, while Whitchurch-Stouffville is 48th.
East Gwillimbury was 82nd, and Georgina, at 133rd.
The MoneySense annual ranking measured 415 cities across Canada in 10 categories this year: wealth and economy, affordability, population growth, taxes, commute, crime, weather, access to health care, amenities and culture.
