It’s the Civic Holiday Weekend, also known as Simcoe Day, in Vaughan it’s Benjamin Vaughan Day and because Monday is a holiday, not everything is open.
Good news if you were afraid of running out of booze, select locations of the LCBO and Beer stores will be open on holiday Monday including locations in Richmond Hill, Vaughan, King City, Aurora and Newmarket and Barrie and Collingwood.
Closed on Monday all Banks, government offices, no mail delivery.

The Aurora Family Leisure Complex pool will be closed on Aug. 7, but the gym is open for family time 10 a.m. to noon, the loft from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and youth gym from noon to 2 p.m. The fitness centre is also open from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex pool is open Aug. 7, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for lane swim and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for leisure swim.
All town offices, including public library branches and recreation facilities, are closed Aug. 7.
Drop-in recreation programs are also cancelled.

The Angus Glen Pool is open 1 to 2 p.m. for lane swim as well as parent and tot swim, and 2 to 4 p.m. for recreational swim.
The outdoor Morgan Pool is open noon to 1 p.m. for lane swim and 1 to 5 p.m. for recreation swim.
Rouge River outdoor pool is open for recreation swimming, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Whitchurch-Stouffville municipal offices, public library, museum and community centre, 19 on the Park, Stouffville Arena, Clippers Sports Complex and Soccer city will be closed Aug. 7.
The Leisure Centre pool will be open Aug. 7, 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 12:05 to 1 p.m. for lane or fitness swim, 1:05 to 4 p.m. for leisure swim, 9:05 to 11 a.m. for parent and tot swim, and 9:05 to 10 a.m. for aquafit classes.
