Weather Caution For Today

We’re in for more tricky weather, be careful if you’re driving.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for areas of York Region and the GTA, through towards Barrie, Orillia and into Washago.
While light snow or ice pellets is possible late this morning into the afternoon, the amount of snow and ice pellets is expected to be minimum, with about 2cm in York Region with the Barrie area seeing closer to 5cm.
Untreated roads are expected expected to be icy and slippery.
You’re being asked to take extra care if you’re walking or driving.

Today.. Snow mixed with ice pellets late this morning and ending this afternoon, winds gusting up to 60km/hr causing blowing snow (snow and ice pellet amount 2cm) -1 (Windchill -9)
Tonight.. Snow or freezing rain, changing to rain near midnight and ending before morning, winds gusting up to 60km/hr, temperature rising to +6
Tomorrow.. Rain in the afternoon & +6

*Freezing Rain Warning*
Today … Snow beginning late this morning, with snow or freezing rain late this afternoon, winds gusting up to 70km/h causing blowing snow (5cm) High 0.
Tonight… Snow or freezing rain changing to rain and ending before morning, winds gusting up to 70km/h. Temperature rising to +5.
Tomorrow… 40 % chance of rain changing to 40 percent chance of flurries or rain late in the afternoon, windy & falling to 1.
