The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury would like to advise residents of water restrictions that will be put in place July 10 & 11, 2018. Two weeks ago, the Town of BWG described the work going on to upgrade the Innisfil Lakeshore Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
They have been advised that the WTP will be shut down on July 10-11 to allow for the necessary work.
To ensure that the shutdown, in combination with ongoing hot, dry weather, does not affect the adequate supply of water for everyday and emergency uses, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is now advising that water restrictions will be put in place as described below.
On Tuesday, July 10 from 7:00 a.m. until Wednesday, July 11 at 11:59 p.m., the following non-essential water uses are prohibited: – lawn watering – car washing
The Town of BWG would appreciate any efforts made to voluntarily postpone other non-essential outdoor water use (such as recreational sprinkler use, pool filling, etc.) during the restriction period.
There may be further shutdowns and/or restrictions during the WTP upgrades this summer. Updates will be made as they become available.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience during this work.
