Two Suspects Sought After Theft of Poppy Donation Box In Barrie

Barrie Police is looking for the public’s assistance identifying two suspects after a theft of a Poppy Donation Box.

On Friday. November 10th, 2017 around 3:00am a vehicle believed to be a blue Nissan Altima, went through the drive thru at the Tim Horton’s located at 555 Essa Road, in the City of Barrie, with four males inside.  After collecting their food and drinks, the vehicle parked towards the Rexall Drug Store and two occupants exited to return to the Tim Hortons.  Suspect #1 entered and proceeded directly to the washroom.  Moments later, Suspect #2 entered and loitered in the restaurant seating area, not making any attempts to purchase anything.  He is seen leaving the store just as Suspect #1 exits the washroom.  Suspect #1 then proceeds directly to the far cash register where he grabbed the Poppy Donation Box and exited the store before the employees noticed the theft.

Description Suspect #1:

  • Male, black
  • Early 20’s
  • Black hair
  • Wearing a purple Toronto Raptors hat, 3/4 zip purple, white & black Toronto Raptors jacket, light coloured hoodie and dark pants

Description Suspect #2:

  • Male, described as Middle Eastern decent
  • Early 20’s
  • Brown hair, unshaven with goatee
  • Wearing a black touque, black winter jacket with fur around the hood and white shoes
