Cold Weather Warning from Environment Canada Continues
Stay warm at a Newmarket Facility
NEWMARKET, Ontario, January 5, 2018 – With the extreme cold weather forecasted, the Town of Newmarket reminds residents and community members that those looking to stay warm can visit one of the Town’s facilities during its hours of operation.
Residents are invited to the following Town of Newmarket facilities to stay warm at:

The Town reminds residents that health problems can result from prolonged exposure to cold, such as frostbite and hypothermia. For more information about how to stay safe during extreme cold conditions, visit York Region’s website at york.ca
Newmarket’s Inn from the Cold (510 Penrose Street) provides overnight accommodation for those seeking temporary housing, meals and clothing. Inn from the Cold is open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., seven days a week from November to early April. For more information, call 905-895-8889.
