Sunwing Foundation Partners with Global Medic to Provide Aid To The Caribbean After Irma

The first Humanitarian effort took place this past Sunday, Sept. 10 when a Global Medic RescU AV team flew to St. Maarten on a flight organized by Sunwing in collaboration with local authorities. The Team brought 1,500 hygiene kits and enough water purification tablets to restore a million litres of drinking water for affected families as traditional water sources were contaminated due to the storm. The plane also carried 1,000 kilos of humanitarian aid. Yesterday, Sept 12, Sunwing and Global Medic took humanitarian aid to Cuba. The Sunwing Airlines flight departed Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, headed for Veradero, Cuba, which had been closed since Saturday..  It was reopened briefly to enable the operation of 6 Sunwing Airlines Rescue flights.  The Sunwing and Global Medic team is headed for Antigua this Friday Sept. 15    @sunwing.ca
