We are under a Special Weather Statement!
While snow continues to fall in York Region and the GTA this morning, this is just a sample of what we’re expecting.
Environment Canada says a winter storm is on the way that will bring 10 to 15 cm of snow and ice pellets, freezing rain, and strong winds.
Snow will begin early Tuesday morning and will mix with or change to ice pellets later on.
Strong easterly winds gusting up to 80 km/h will cause reduced visibility in blowing snow.
There is also a risk of freezing rain.
Some are already calling on workplaces to consider letting people work from home tomorrow, where possible.
