The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is hosting members of the Simcoe County Council to thank the
County for its outstanding investment in local healthcare, after the Council committed $20 million to RVH over a 10 year period.
The investment is directed towards the health centre’s expansion, which opened on-time and on-budget in 2012. At the recognition event, Warden Gerry Marshall will deliver the final installment of $1.74 million.
In 2002, the Simcoe County Hospital Alliance was established to advise the county of ongoing hospital capital
needs. It is comprised of CEOs of all hospitals located in Simcoe County, as well as Southlake, and aims to
ensure equitable distribution of County of Simcoe funding to Alliance hospitals.
