Here are some facts about the royal wedding:
Meghan and Harry are heading down the traditional English route of only having children as bridesmaids. They also have something for the male youngsters to do by having them as page boys.
East London pastry chef Claire Ptak made the cake for the big day. The wedding cake will showcase the “flavors of Spring” with lemon and elderflower.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be surrounded by white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves as they say “I do.” The floral displays in St. George’s Chapel will be created using locally sourced flowers and foliage.
No news has been released yet of the designer of Meghan’s dress.
There won’t be as many wedding guests as when Prince William tied the knot in 2011, but it has been confirmed that Harry’s older brother will be the best man. Around 600 people have been invited to the service.
Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, will be attending, and her father, Thomas Markle Sr., had planned to walk his daughter down the aisle. However, on May 14, US media reported that he had been struck down by a heart problem and pulled out of the ceremony after realizing he might be too ill to make the trip.
All three of Princess Diana’s siblings will be in attendance – Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer.
