Rocking Eases Stress, Anxiety And Increases Balance

This study finds rocking in a rocking chair daily can reduce anxiety and depression and improve balance.  We had a rocking chair when I was growing up and I also had one when our kids were babies.  We also had a gliding chair.  I wonder how many homes still have a rocking chair and how common its use is today.

A study conducted by University of Rochester  finds daily rocking among Alzheimer’s patients reduced their anxiety, lifted depression, improved balance, and lessened the need for pain killers.
