Police Looking For Suspect in Richmond Hill Attack

York Region police have released video surveillance, hoping to find the man accused in a daytime assault in Richmond Hill.

Police say on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, just after 11 a.m., police responded to a weapons call in a parking lot on Granton Drive, near 16th Avenue and Leslie Street.

When officers arrived, they located a victim suffering from non-life-threatening head injuries.
Investigators learned the victim was retrieving some items from his trunk when he was hit from behind repeatedly with an unknown object.

The victim was eventually able to run into a building to call for help.

The suspect got into the passenger side of a white Chevrolet and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, Black
  • 25 to 30 years
  • Wearing a dark blue or grey hoodie, black shorts with three orange stripes on the side and black running shoes
