Police are Gearing up for a Busy Victoria Day Long Weekend in Wasaga Beach

The Victoria Day Long Weekend traditionally draws a large volume of people to Wasaga Beach and surrounding area, especially if the weather is good!

There will be an increased Police presence in the high vehicle and pedestrian traffic areas of Wasaga Beach.  In addition Police will be using initiatives such as our Mountain Bike patrol, foot patrol, marine patrol and ATV patrol to assist our usual cruiser patrol in keeping both residents and visitors safe over the holiday long weekend.

Detachment Commander Inspector Browne states “We will stay vigilant in seeking out those in our community or those who visit it and fail to respect it and in doing so we strive to make our community a safer place for everyone”.
