New Federal Rules On The Way For Parental Leave

 New federal rules are set to take effect sometime next month

 concerning new mothers and fathers who want to take more time off

 around the birth of a child.

 The Trudeau government will unveil the details today, including

 the exact start date, of its promised changes to parental-leave

 rules that will allow new parents up to 18 months of leave.

 Ottawa isn’t expected to increase the value of Employment

 Insurance benefits for takers of extended leave.

 Instead, the Liberals are expected to stick with their campaign

 pledge to provide 12 months of benefits over 18 months. (The
