Male Fighting For His Life After A Shooting In Oro-Medonte

Barrie OPP and County of Simcoe Paramedic Services responded to a report of a male who had been shot on Old Barrie Road in the Village of Rugby. Monday May 14, 2018 at 9:20 p.m.

The victim, a 37-year-old Aurora man, was transported to a Toronto area hospital with life threatening injuries. Police have not released details on a motive for the shooting.

The OPP believe this is an isolated incident and is searching for the person(s) responsible. Until further advised, the person(s) responsible should be considered armed and dangerous.
