Jewel Storm Update

The one word everyone has been using to describe the driving conditions this morning has been “horrible”.

While the main highways were plowed, they were still a slushy, slippery mess.

Some side streets are snow covered and have yet to see the plow, but the good news is the snowfall warning has ended for the GTA but 15-20 cm has already fallen, with hundreds of crashes reported.

Here are the latest school closures and bus cancellations…

**Durham school buses cancelled in Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone 3.

**Halton Public and Catholic schools are open but transportation services on and north of Steeles Avenue are cancelled (Zone 3).

**Simcoe County buses to North, West and Central weather zones cancelled today.

**Trillium Lakelands District School Board: All buses to schools in Muskoka, Haliburton cancelled.

York Public and Catholic Schools: Buses are running today, weather delays are possible.

Toronto Catholic and Public Schools: Buses are running today, weather delays are possible.
