Jerry Garcia, the famous and colorful front-man for The Grateful Dead had a custom made guitar he called ‘Wolf’. Guernseys Auction House says it will be offered May 31 at Brooklyn Bowl-a bowling alley, restaurant and venue for music shows. Proceeds go to Alabama based Southern Poverty Law Center. The guitar was bought in 2002 by a philanthropist/musician/film director for $790,000. It could exceed $1 Million this time. Apparently the guitar made it first appearance at a Grateful Dead concert in New York, for Hell’s Angels. Garcia played ‘Wolf’ all over the world from San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom to New York’s Palladium to Egypt’s Great Pyramids.
