Earth Day – Sunday April 22 , 2018

In the movie ‘The Graduate’, Benjamin (played by Dustin Hoffman) got a quick word of advice from his father who said:  “Benjamin-one word  – Plastic!”    At the time, plastic  was set to be the greatest convenience  maker of all time.   Fast forward to 2018 our Earth is being numbed by too much disposable or unrecycled plastic.   Islands of it floating in precious oceans, killing marine life …mountains of it  are buried in landfill sites around the world.  The aim of Earth Day 2018 is to make us more aware of the plastic  problem  and offers a number of ways on how to either reduce it’s consumption or get along without altogether.

This year The Earth Day Network  the organization that leads Earth Day worldwide,  announced that Earth Day 2018 will focus on mobilizing the world to End Plastic Pollution, including creating support for a global effort to eliminate single-use plastics along with global regulation for the disposal of plastics.  Please find out how you can help at:   and thanks!
