The Edmonton Oilers have signed their captain to a HUGE new contract. Connor McDavid and the Oilers agreed to terms on an eight-year, $100-million extension on Wednesday. The new contract comes with a cap hit of $12.5 million. The 20-year-old and Hart Trophy winner still has one year remaining on his entry-level contract, so the extension doesn’t kick in until the 2018-19 season. The deal pays McDavid $86 million in signing bonuses.
