Caledon OPP Recover Stolen Audi, Driver Arrested

On Saturday, July 15, 2017 just after 2 pm, Caledon OPP were notified of a stolen Audi that appeared to be entering the Caledon area.

While on Escarpment Side Road west of Kennedy Road, the driver of the black 2018 Audi S4, in an attempt to flee from police, entered into the ditch resulting in the vehicle becoming disabled. An officer was able to successfully arrest of the driver without incident. Further, the stolen vehicle and licence plates attached to the vehicle were recovered.

A 44 year-old male of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with: Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Theft Over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle, Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – (x 2), Obstruct Peace Officer, Possession Break In Instruments, and Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Brampton Court on July 16, 2017.
