The Town of Aurora has been named as the 19th Best Places to Live in Ontario by MoneySense Magazine’s 2018 Best Places to Live national survey.
“I am pleased to see that Aurora has once again been recognized as a dynamic, inclusive and progressive community. We are a Town that is dedicated to our residents and focused on providing quality programs and services to ensure the needs of our community are met,” said Mayor Geoffrey Dawe. “Our diverse population, access to top healthcare facilities, growing transportation options and appreciation of arts, culture and heritage is what attracts people to living, working and visiting Aurora.”
Rankings are based on 415 cities, towns and villages across Canada. Each city is ranked across 10 categories: wealth and economy, affordability, population growth, taxes, commute, crime, weather, access to health care, amenities and culture. There is also a build-your-own-ranking tool to narrow down cities according to your specific preferences.
Aurora was also recognized as the 36th Best Place to Live in Canada, 37th Best Place for Families in Canada and 7th Highest Wealth and Economy in Ontario.
