Aurora invites residents and visitors to participate in their annual Canada Day celebrations on Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1.
On Saturday June 30, there will be great music, food and a licensed beer garden at the Rotary Dance in the Park from 6 pm until 11 pm in Town Park.
The celebrations continue the next day with a Canada Day Parade starting at 10am. The parade will travel south on Yonge Street from Mosley Street to Murray Drive. There will be sidewalk chalking for children before the parade at 9:30am outside of the Aurora Public Library.
A free pancake breakfast will take place at 11 am at Lambert Willson Park. There will also be fun passport activities for children to participate in to discover Canada. There will be displays throughout Aurora for children to learn facts about Canada as well as interactive games to participate in.
Additional activities include Kidz Workshop, horseshoe tournament (on-site registration required) and the final competition round for the 2018 Aurora Teen Idol.
Throughout the day there will be numerous live entertainment groups to sing along with and dance, as well as food vendors at a nominal fee.
