A Collision In Bradford Has Claimed The Life Of A Local Man

An 81-year-old Bradford man struck by a vehicle on Holland Street West in Bradford has succumbed to his injuries in hospital. South Simcoe Police say on Sunday, December 30, 2018, around 7:00 p.m., they responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the area of Holland Street West and Deer Run Crescent in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
A Hyundai Tuscon stopped on Holland Street West to make a left turn onto Deer Run Crescent was rear-ended by a Jeep Liberty. Both drivers exited their vehicles and stood in the road to
assess the damage.  A third vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, then collided with the Jeep, pushing it forward where it struck the Jeep driver. Paramedics transported the 81-year-old Bradford man to a local hospital. He was later taken to a Toronto trauma centre with critical injuries. The man passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

The other drivers suffered minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
