Police Looking for Man Accused of Theft and Assault

York Regional Police need your help identifying a man accused of theft in Vaughan, then assaulting the store owner when he was confronted.

Police say were first called to the Toys R US at Vaughan Mills Mall on July 2nd, when employees noticed hockey cards missing.

The man matching the same description is believed to have returned July 15th and was observed acting suspiciously around the hockey cards.

Police say a store employee was assaulted after confronting the man, who fled the store.

The employee was not injured.

Suspect description:

  • Male
  • 30 to 40 years
  • Medium build
  • Short black hair
  • Clean shaven
